Association of Black Students (ABS)

ABS is the umbrella organization that brings all of the African American organizations together to collaborate and discuss issues and programs concerning the African American Community on campus.

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)

NSBE is a national organization that services those students in the technical fields such as engineering and computer science.

National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)

The SMU chapter of NABA unites through membership accounting students who have similar interests and ideas, are committed to academic and future professional excellence, a sense of professional and civic responsibility, and are concerned with opportunities for minorities in the accounting profession. 

Voices of Inspiration Gospel Choir(VOI)

Voices of Inspiration Gospel Choir is a gospel ministry made up of students who sing throughout the year at different functions on campus and within the Dallas community. Each year the choir goes on a mission trip to sing and do community service in the selected city.

Sisters Supporting Sisters (SSS)

Sisters Supporting Sisters is a group of young women who promote sisterhood within the community. This group serves as an additional support system and an opportunity for discussions on issues related to women of color.

Black Men Emerging (BME)

BME is a group of young men who promote brotherhood, positive image, and success, both academic and social, within the African American male population. This vibrant group of young men provides the campus with a Phenomenal Love program that uplifts and encourages all who attend.
