physics

As a physics major at SMU, you will delve into courses that emphasize analytical skills, problem solving, and a solid grasp of physics principles. Courses span electricity and magnetism to astrophysics and cosmology. There are two ways to go: the Bachelor of Science degree in physics is geared toward students who are serious about a profession directly related to physics, such as teaching or laboratory work. The Bachelor of Arts degree in physics is broader and more versatile, blending physics courses with liberal arts studies for students who are interested in law, business, medicine, and other professions. In this world of ever changing technologies, being a physics major could drive tomorrow’s breakthroughs.
