In 1981, an alumni effort was organized to support and advance the Christian perspective within the SMU academic community. Five educators attended the first Christian Leadership luncheon--believing it to be a significant opportunity to meet and exchange views with colleagues regarding Christian commitment in an academic setting.

Attendance has grown to encompass a wide range of SMU faculty and staff who, together with alumni, community and business leaders, meet at DCL luncheons to hear highly respected public and academic figures share the relevance of Jesus Christ to the pursuit of truth within the academic community.

Besides providing intellectual forums in the form of luncheons for exploring contemporary issues from a Christian perspective, Dallas Christian Leadership also:


Dallas Christian Leadership is based at Southern Methodist University, which is located in Dallas, Texas.
Dallas Christian Leadership is part of Christian Leadership Ministries, the faculty ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, International.
