In the spirit of holiday sharing, Central University Libraries are once again collecting food donations for the North Texas Food Bank in return for waiving library fines. For every donation of a can or package of (non-perishable) food, SMU faculty, students and staff will receive a $2.00 credit off their library fines. This applies to materials from Fondren Library Center, Hamon Arts Library, the ISEM Reading Room and the Norwick Center for Media and Instructional Technology. Bring your food donations to any of these CUL libraries beginning Monday, November 27th through Monday, December 18th.
- This waiver does NOT apply to lost book replacement charges or processing fees
- This waiver ONLY applies to overdue book fines currently assessed (no future credit applied)
- Overdue fines may NOT be waived if they have already been sent to the Cashier's Office for collection
Join CUL staff in celebrating the season and have your fines reduced by exchanging food for fines.
