FirstSearch

OCLC's FirstSearch is an interactive online information system that gives you vital, timely information about books, journal articles, films, computer software, and other materials in your subject area. Databases that are relevant to research in theatre are WorldCat and ArticleFirst . FirstSearch is available on the World Wide Web and is accessible on the computers in the Hamon Library, as well as through your home computer. If you need any assistance in using FirstSearch, please ask at the Information Desk at the Hamon Arts Library.

WorldCat contains over 36 million records of any type of material cataloged by OCLC member libraries from all over the world. It includes manuscripts written as early as the 11th century and is updated daily. Subject headings used in PONI can also be used in WorldCat to produce similar results.
