The Library of Congress Online Catalog includes more than 200,000 maps, which is only a fraction of their collection. Most maps received by the library after 1968 are included; historic maps older than this are not. LOC's American Memory digital library also contains a large selection of historical maps, including Maps Of Discovery And Exploration (1500 - 2003) and American Civil War (1861 - 1865) Maps.
