The SMU-IN-TAOS program is offered at Fort Burgwin Research Center near Taos, New Mexico. It is SMU's "high academic" campus (Altitude 7,400 feet) and the courses are oriented toward the Southwest region. The exhibit is intended to show both the current and earlier programs and research activities carried out at the facility. The presence of a developing library and computer center allows the past and the present to blend into a unique learning experience in one of the most interesting and historic regions in the Americas.
