Driving Directions

Fondren Library Center (FLC) is west of Central Expressway, north of Mockingbird Lane, east of Hillcrest Ave, and south of Lover's Lane.
The entrance is near the intersection of North Ownby Dr. and Fondren Dr.

If coming from downtown going north on North Central Expressway :

Exit Central at the Mockingbird Lane exit and continue north on the service road to SMU Blvd., go west on SMU Blvd to Airline Rd., go north on Airline to McFarlin, go west on McFarlin to No. Ownby, go north on No. Ownby 1/2 block to the Fondren Library Center.

If coming from the North going south on North Central Expressway :

Exit Central at Lovers Lane exit and proceed south on the service road to University Blvd.; go west on University to Airline Rd., go south on Airline to McFarlin Blvd., go west on McFarlin to No. Ownby Drive, go north on No. Ownby Dr. 1/2 block to the Fondren Library Center.

If coming from the North or Northwest using Highway 183 or 114 or Interstate 35E or the Dallas North Toll Road :

Exit at Northwest Highway (Loop 12) and travel east past Preston Rd. to Hillcrest Ave., go south on Hillcrest to University Blvd.; go east on University to North Ownby Drive, and go south on No. Ownby Drive 1/2 block to the Fondren Library Center.

If coming from the East or West on Interstate 30 :

Exit near downtown Dallas onto No. Central Expressway; go north and exit at Mockingbird Lane; continue on Central service road to SMU Blvd, go west on SMU Blvd to Airline Rd., go north on Airline to McFarlin Blvd., go west on McFarlin to No. Ownby Drive; go north 1/2 block on Ownby to Fondren Library Center.

If coming from the South or Southwest on Interstate 35E:

Just past downtown Dallas exit and go east on Woodall Rodgers Freeway, stay in left lane and exit going north on No. Central Expressway, exit at Mockingbird Lane, continue on Central service road to SMU Blvd, go west on SMU Blvd to Airline Rd., go north on Airline to McFarlin Blvd., go west on McFarlin to No. Ownby Drive; go north 1/2 block on Ownby to Fondren Library Center.

If coming from the South on Interstate 45:

As Interstate 45 nears downtown Dallas going north, it becomes No. Central Expressway (Highway 75) continue north and exit at Mockingbird Lane, continue on Central service road to SMU Blvd, go west on SMU Blvd to Airline Rd., go north on Airline to McFarlin Blvd., go west on McFarlin to No. Ownby Drive; go north 1/2 block on Ownby to Fondren Library Center.

Parking

Many visitor parking spaces are available adjacent to the Fondren Library Center (FLC) controlled by parking meters. Spaces are available on the north side of the FLC along University Blvd. and on both sides of North Ownby Drive on the east side of the FLC.

A Visitor's Parking Area is available approximately one block northeast of the Fondren Library Center. Enter at the intersection of Airline Rd. and University Blvd by turning west into the lot.
