Circulation functions are automated in all Central University Libraries. Borrowers must have a valid SMU ID card to borrow library materials.

Books are checked out at the Fondren Library Center desk all hours that the Library Center is open. Books checked out to library users should remain in the possession of the borrower and should not be loaned to others.
