Photographic Reproduction Fee Schedule
Payment: All requests will be invoiced and paid in full before work will be done. Do not send payment until you receive an invoice. Acceptable forms of payment are:
- Cash (for onsite orders only; do not mail)
- Check payable to DeGolyer Library
- Interdepartmental charge, Intercampus charge
- Money order or international money order
TAX: The 8.25% Texas sales tax is levied on all reproduction order except:
- those shipped to an address outside Texas
- those accompanied by a state-issued resale number
- those generated by the Federal government
All proposed commercial use of materials must be stated in advance. The Library reserves the right to charge a special fee in any instance where material is reused for purposes other than that for which it was originally ordered, or for strictly commercial ventures, e.g., textbooks, commercially sponsored film, television, advertising, etc. The Director reserves the right to refuse to copy materials intended for commercial use. A special USE FEE will be charged for all commercial use approved by the Director.

PHOTOCOPIES
$0.25 per page
Microfilm photocopies (self-serve) …$0.25 per page. If DeGolyer staff makes copies from microfilm, we charge $5.00 minimum, plus $0.25 per page
DIGITAL FILES
150 dpi .jpg file on CD … $10 per image
Please contact the library to inquire about obtaining copies in other formats or resolutions.
PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTS
Glossy 8 ˝ x 11 premium photo paper print
- $20 per image, from new scans
- $15 per image, from an existing digital file
REPRODUCTIONS OF BALDWIN OR OTHER TECHNICAL DRAWINGS
$30.00 per drawing
SPECIAL PHOTOGRAPHIC HANDLING
Due to the size of the original prints, delicate nature of albums or other mounts, some photographic work requires special equipment and handling. A minimum fee of $35 per order will apply.
SHIPPING/HANDLING CHARGE …$5.00 (FOR ALL ORDERS UNLESS FAXED)
FAX (CONTINTENTAL U.S.) … $1.00 PER PAGE
TV/FILM REQUESTS
We require a written statement describing the nature of the project, the intended audience, a description of the images requested, and the specifications of the digital file. At the end of the film, we ask to be listed among the credits, “DeGolyer Library, Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas.”
Our basic fee for commercial film projects is $100 per image for North American distribution or $150 per image for world-wide distribution. For orders of 3-10 images, the fee schedule is discounted 10 percent. For over 10 images, the fee is negotiable.
