Who may use this service?
This service is intended for all library patrons of Southern Methodist University Libraries.
Who will receive my question?
Your question will go to the Fondren Library Center Circulation Dept. and will be fielded by full
time staff. If it is best answered at another library, your question will be forwarded to the appropriate
person and you will be copied on the message.
How soon can I expect an answer?
This service is monitored Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, excluding holidays. Questions received
during these hours will be responded to within 24 hours. Questions received during weekends and holiday
will be responded to within 24 hours of the next full business day.
What kinds of questions can I ask?
Any question you might ask at the circulation desk in any of our libraries.
Such as:
How do I renew my books on-line from home?
I have a block on my library account, can you tell me what it is for?
I have lost a library book, what should I do?
If I am a non-SMU visitor, may I obtain a library card to check out books?
How do I place a hold on a book on-line from home?
