Where is it?
    On SMU's campus near Taos, New Mexico, in a reconstructed fort compound.

When is it open?
    From mid-May through mid-August, when SMU-in-Taos classes are in session

What are its resources?
    The library contains approximately 7000 books and small collections of journals and maps. The collection, closely tailored to the Taos curriculum, focuses on the history, literature, cultures, and environment of New Mexico and neighboring states in the Southwest. Books and journals in the Fort Library are included in the PONI database.

Who may use it?
    Students, faculty and staff of the SMU-in-Taos program.

Are books from FBL available for Interlibrary Loan?
Items in the Fort Burgwin Library are not available for use on the Dallas campus or for Interlibrary Loan.
