Perfect Interview™ is an innovative learning tool that you can use to enhance your job interviewing skills and develop an edge over the  competition.  Perfect Interview™ creates a compelling and realistic "simulated interview" experience where you are asked challenging questions and must respond, just as you would in a real job interview. 

To begin using Perfect Interview™, click on http://www.perfectinterview.com/smu/

•  Step one:  Create an Account

  • Click on Create Account

  • You will provide your first name, last name and email address.  Read the Terms and Conditions. Click on Create My Account to continue.

  • You will receive an email that provides your username and password.  It also provides instructions about system setup; you must have Microsoft® Media Player 9 installed on your system.
     

• Step two:   Select Options
  Log in to http://www.perfectinterviewcom/smu using your User ID and Password at the prompts.

  • Click on Start a New Interview

  • Select your level of experience and the type of position sought by clicking on the appropriate drop-down box.

  • Select the length of interview and question category using the buttons.  Click continue.

  • Select the length of interview and  using the buttons.  Click continue. On the next screen will be displayed a summary of your choices, it has a summary of your selections-click the Start Interview button.
     

• Step three: Click on Play, the interview begins.  The interviewer will ask the question.  

  • Enter your response to the question by clicking on the reply button. You will enter text into the box. 

  • To see how another student would respond, click View Alternate Response.

  • To receive instructional tips from an expert, click on Coach.

  • To view the next question, click on Next.
     

• Step four: Exit

  • After you have answered all of the questions, click Exit.  A dialog box will ask if you want to save your interview (responses that you entered in the text boxes). 

  • Click yes. Provide a name for the interview.
     

• Step five:  You may either start a new interview, review the text from your saved interview or logoff.
