Job Description:

Sales & Marketing Intern

  • Provide outstanding customer service and initiate outgoing calls to customers in order to capture new business

  • Assist Regional or Area Manager in many capacities including handling price model drill downs and reporting on customer profitability

  • Receive focused training in fundamentals of sales procedures to prepare for promotion to Sales Account Executive and a designated account load

  • Apply excellent math, analytical and PC (Windows, Excel, Word) skills, as well as excellent communication and problem solving skills

     

Financial Analysis Intern

  • Compile and verify accuracy of financial data 

  • Prepare detailed reports, schedules and statistics

  • Research and analyze variances and trends in budgets, financial plans, expenses, forecasts, pricing, financial reports and business unit or corporate performance 

  • Develop reports of findings for use by management in decision making

  • Apply financial models such as return on investment, rate of return, pricing and net present value

   

Pricing Analysis and Modeling Intern

  • Develop, implement, maintain and report on pricing, margins and procedures 

  • Provide customer service to field personnel relating to loan pricing, profitability and products 

  • Make daily pricing and policy decisions based on established policies/ procedures, net economic impact of the decision and business needs 

  • Report, analyze and monitor pricing operations of the Correspondent Lending Division (CLD) 

  • Provide support for the regions, branches and senior CLD management in areas of pricing, profitability and policy

     

Risk Management Analysis Intern

  • Determine through analysis and investigation, how to improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of CLD’s Risk Management operations to reduce organizational risk and improve Countrywide’s service to its customers

  • Work within Risk Management operations to assess the level of risk present in loans submitted to Countrywide for purchase in accordance with internal and regulatory guidelines

  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding Countrywide products, programs and risk decisions 

  • Work within Risk Management operations to reduce potential losses to Countrywide due to market dynamics and other factors

 

A Successful Candidate for the Associate Development Internship Program will have: 

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher 

  • Excellent organizational, analytical and communications skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and financial aptitude

  • Time management and problem solving skills 

  • Flexible approach to a fast-changing work environment 

     

  The Ideal Candidate May Also Possess:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the following majors: Business, Finance, Marketing, Communications, Political Science, Liberal Arts or Psychology 

  • Customer service experience

  • Ability to relocate for the summer as necessary

 

The program runs 8-12 weeks in the summer.
