THE SADIE AND DAVID LEFKOWITZ COLLECTION OF JUDAICA was established in 1971 by the Sisterhood and Brotherhood of Temple Emanu-El to honor their beloved emeritus Rabbi and Mrs. David Lefkowitz on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary. Mrs. Milton P. Levy, president of the Sisterhood, took the lead in defining the typology of the gift. More than 3,000 volumes now support the study of Jewish history and culture. |
