Folio. Prophets through New Testament. 371 leaves ([4], cxxiiii; lxxv, [1] blank; cxlviii, [19] leaves [without last blank]), 11 × 8 inches. Printed on vellum; gothic, double column, 52 lines; gathering “ii” has only 7 leaves, but text continues; leaf liii (“ii5,” cancellans, with stub showing between “ii2” and “ii3”) of second series repeated in foliation. “D. Marth. Luth.” erased from title page of Propheten, New Testament, and end of Daniel. The same woodcut title border used for the Prophets and New Testament, depicting cherubim hanging a scroll bearing the title against an architectural background, and numerous large historiated or decorative woodcut initials; all woodcuts and borders and some initials with hand coloring. Bound in 16th-century brown calfskin gilt; lacking leather thongs (pins retained); spine blind-lettered and stamped. § DM 4199, note; VD 16 B2696; WA DB II, 573-76.
