Livres d'Artiste
11 March - 4 June 2005
The "Livre d'artiste" (artist's book) brings the modern artist's vision to the traditional crafts of making books. Books designed and made by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Georges Rouault, and Marc Chagall highlight this colorful exhibition of Bridwell Library's collection of livres-d'artiste.

The
exhibition was curated by Dr. Dorothy Kosinski, Senior Curator of Painting and Sculpture, and The Barbara Thomas Lemmon Curator of European Art, Dallas Museum of Art. An illustrated guide with an introductory essay by Dr. Kosinski accompanied the exhibition.
