Public Services

The Bridwell Library staff provides a wide variety of library and research services, on site and online, for SMU students and faculty, scholars, and visitors.  These include lending, reference assistance, circulation of reserve materials, placing holds and recalls, bibliographic instruction, and fulfilling interlibrary loan requests.

Bridwell's interlibrary loan service enables SMU students and faculty to borrow materials that are not available at SMU from other libraries, both in this country and abroad. The service is generally free to eligible borrowers.
