Your personal statements:

1. Please outline briefly your career as a binder, including your training, affiliations, and current work (50 words or less).

2. For your sample binding statement we need to have:
·A complete citation for the book you are submitting. This should include the author, complete title, publisher, place, and date of publication.
·A brief description of the materials and techniques used in your example binding (50 words or less).

3. For the Huckleberry Finn prize binding proposal, a description of your design and its underlying concept, highlighting specific themes, motifs, and influences that motivated your choices. Make sure to provide a detailed description of the materials and techniques that you propose to use if awarded the commission (100 words or less).

These statements assist the judging committee in interpreting your work and proposal.
