Jill Dozier
She has obtained employment with an On-line Market Research Company headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
e-Rewards is an on-line member only panel which conducts consumer research via on-line survey
invitations. Although she did not know exactly where her Anthropology degree would take her, it has
landed her a great job with a fabulous company. She currently works in the new division of Healthcare
Solutions. She works with the sales managers to put together proposals for pharmaceutical companies to
obtain physician and other healthcare personnel opinions via our panel of participants. It is a unique
position in which she tries to bring together two different entities into a common link viable for both
parties.
Micah Nero
He was in Singapore for two months through an internship, was able to travel to other countries in
Southeast Asia, blogged for Student Adventures (website off the main SMU site), and noted some of his
culture experiences.
Benjamin Wells
He received a stipend for doing work with Dr. Kemper's project from a "progressive" organization called
Young People For. They give the stipend out to fellows in order to help support them in the career
goals of their choosing and to help carry out progressive values in doing that work. During summer
2007, Ben worked with other undergraduate students processing the many thousands of pages of field
notes from the George M. Foster ethnographic files. Ben also was awarded the Felix Chen Asian Studies
Scholarship from the Asian Studies Program here at SMU; he hopes to apply this award to research in
China in December 2007.
