My primary topic of interest is the peopling of the New World, specifically the ways in which paleoindians traversed and utilized the landscape. Through my research, I would like to better understand routes of migration and patterns of colonization across a landscape marked by high environmental variability. I plan to explore this topic through the integration of demographic models and ecological approaches to adaptation. I would like to synthesize information using GIS applications in order to view paleoindian adaptations from a broader spatial and temporal approach.
