What are the requirements for international students?

Foreign citizens applying to SMU are expected to meet all requirements for admission. Foreign students whose native language is not English are required to submit a score of at least 550 (paper test) or 213 (computer test) on the TOEFL.

Can an international student receive financial aid?

We offer a limited number of merit scholarships to international student, but international students cannot receive federal aid.

Is there an office on campus that assists international students?

Yes. The International Office offers support, counseling, and assistance for international applicants and students. The office may be contacted at 1-214-768-2338.
