Dining Membership Options

As part of your living and learning experience, first-year resident students automatically receive an SMU Community Dining Membership. This membership allows you continuous access at the residential restaurant, Real Food on Campus (RFoC). Your membership will be automatically renewed for the spring semester. Dining membership prices for the coming year will be available online by April 1, 2007.

Flex Dollars

Flex Dollars are accepted like cash at all SMU Dining Services locations. Flex Dollars work on the same principle as a debit card. Whenever you make a purchase on campus using your Flex Dollars, the total amount is subtracted from your Flex account. You can add Flex Dollars to your account at any time.

Express Cash

EXPRESS CA$H is accepted like cash in all on-campus dining locations, participating off-campus vendors, laundry and vending machines, convenience stores, the SMU Bookstore, and many more locations. EXPRESS CA$H also works on the same principle as a debit card-whenever you make a purchase, the total amount is subtracted from your account. You can add EXPRESS CA$H to your account at any time.

How does the membership work?
Memberships are geared specifically to make your life easier! With membership, the magnetic strip on your SMU ID card will be coded to identify you as an dining plan member.

Where can I use my dining membership?
All-you-care-to-eat meals are available at RFoC.

Who can use my membership card?
For your own protection, the only person authorized to use your card is you.

What should I do if I lose my card?
Immediately notify Park 'N Pony at 214-768-PONY. A stop will be placed on the lost card, and you will need to obtain a new card.

Do dining entries or EXPRESS CA$H carry over from one semester to the next?
Dining entries do not carry over; Flex Dollars carry over from summer to fall and then to spring semester; EXPRESS CA$H carries over from semester to semester and year to year until graduation.

What times are the locations open?
Residential restaurants and retail dining locations are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner during hours that match student schedules. Because your schedule changes, we change to meet your needs. To stay current, please consult each location or our Web site at smudining.com for all full-term, holiday, and break hours of operation.
