98,298 alumni advantages
From the moment you graduate, you are a member of a distinguished
group of individuals – 98,298 SMU alumni worldwide. Around
36,000 alumni live and work in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, a powerful
network for mentoring and career guidance. Other areas with
large SMU alumni populations are other Texas areas, California,
Florida, and Oklahoma.
Alumni support
Gifts from alumni and other donors cover about one- quarter of the
cost of every students education, keeping the cost of tuition among
the lowest in the nation among comparable private institutions.
Its their way of helping SMU to remain accessible to future generations
of Mustangs.
Powerful connections
Alumni programs and services keep all alumni connected to SMU
through class reunions, Homecoming, and outreach programs. Many
alumni also stay connected as active volunteers through the
Alumni Career Network, alumni student recruitment, chapter leadership,
and reunion committees. SMU
Magazine goes to all alumni, and an alumni e-letter provides
monthly updates on University happenings.
PerunaNet: alumni online
PerunaNet links alumni worldwide to former classmates, career
services, and an online community. The Alumni Web site features calendar events, class notes, campus news, and
other useful information.
