Summary

Yuval Weber is an assistant professor in the Department of World Economy and International Affairs at the National Research University - Higher School of Economics in Moscow, Russia. He is also a Non-Resident Research Fellow at the Carnegie Center Moscow. Weber defended his dissertation “Petropolitics and Foreign Policy: Fiscal and Institutional Origins of Soviet and Russian Foreign Policy, 1964-2012” in August 2014. He previously earned a Master of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Chicago. Weber has published on Russian political and economic issues in Forbes (U.S. and Russian editions), RBK (in Russian), and the Dallas Morning News, and his latest academic publications can be found in Cold War Studies and e-International Relations.
