Academic Support

In summer school, courses are offered in a compressed time and can include adjusting to a new living arrangement either on our campus in Taos or many places all over the world.

Many students find the compressed schedule, smaller classes, and accessibility of faculty to be a plus. But not all students are prepared for the fast pace of summer school. The Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center is open throughout the summer for students attending school on the Dallas campus.

Students are encouraged to seek assistance early in the term.

  • Altshuler Learning Enhancement Center
    The A-LEC offers workshops at the beginning of each term to alert students to the challenges of the fast pace of courses. Other learning enhancement tools are available at the A-LEC. Don't wait until it is too late to request assistance!;
  • Other Resources
    The best resource is your professor. Faculty wish to assist their students in the learning process and understand that the summer term may pose challenges to some students. Often academic departments offer learning aids for specific course. Be sure to ask about these aids at the beginning of the term.
