About Us

The Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (OMSA) works collaboratively with campus and community partners to engage, educate and empower students through identity and leadership development, as well as social justice and cultural education. We help to create a safe and inclusive living and learning environment that embraces differences and supports students from all identities in preparation for active citizenship in an increasingly global community.

Student Development

Through leadership development, peer mentoring and community engagement programs, the SMU office of Multicultural  Student Affairs provides opportunities for students to develop and improve leadership skills as well as become more connected to the SMU community. OMSA also divides 17 culturally based students organizations to serve students' cultural, academic and leadership interests.
