The Community Engagement and Leadership Center uses MustangTRAK in collaboration with the Hegi Family Career Development Center to promote volunteer opportunities for students. Register for MustangTRAK and search for volunteer opportunities.

Annual Community Service Day

For over 40 years, SMU has hosted an annual Community Service Day during which the campus community participates in a day of service to DFW. Service project sites are arranged with community partners around the area.

SMU Service House

The SMU Service House (SMUSH) is a unique residence hall. It serves as the home for up to 28 students who are committed to service and to building a vibrant residence community.

Alternative Break Trips

SMU students organize and send trips across the U.S. and world during every academic break.  Visit the Alternative Breaks website to find out more information about how you can participate in one of their trips.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

SMU students, faculty, and staff make the national MLK Holiday a day on instead of a day off. Come and celebrate Dr. King's legacy by turning community issues into citizen action! The MLK Day of Service is part of the University-wide recognition of "Dream Week".

Heroes Week

Mustang Heroes sponsors a week of events to promote awareness of social issues and involvement in the community.
