Pam Smith

Director of Elementary Mathematics, Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD

Pam holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education with minors in Mathematics and Special Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master’s of Science Degree in Supervision from Lamar University. She also holds a Certification in Educational Administration from Texas A & M Commerce. Prior to joining the C-FB team in 1999, she taught mathematics at the elementary, middle school and college level. She served as K-12 Mathematics Coordinator in Duncanville ISD and Math Lead Teacher in Dallas ISD.

She is currently an active member of the Texas Association of Supervisors of Mathematics, National Association of Supervisors of Mathematics, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, Council for the Advancement of Mathematics and Phi Delta Kappa. She is also very actively working with the Texas Education Agency on textbook and TEKS revision committees. She also had the opportunity to serve on a committee for the U.S. Department of Education in Washington DC helping to support the efforts of mathematics.
