Center Hours & Session Fees

Regular Hours
Tutoring sessions are scheduled 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Scheduled sessions are 45 minutes each. There is a limited number of Saturday sessions. Please call the center for details. The Center is closed Sundays.

Summer Hours
During the summer, sessions will be scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Initial Consultation, Tutoring Plan, and Charges
There is a $25 charge for the initial consultation in which we meet you and your child and conduct an assessment to determine your child's individual strengths and weaknesses. The initial consultation fee will be applied towards the one-time registration fee if you choose to enroll your child in our tutoring services. We use the assessment results to develop a plan for meeting your child's specific academic needs. If you choose to enroll your child in tutoring at the center, we ask that you enroll her/him for a minimum of eight sessions, which will allow you to witness the significant gains your child makes while working with the specialized programs and trained instructors at the center. We will schedule a meeting with you after the first eight sessions to discuss your child's progress and decide what additional steps need to be taken in order to ensure that your child is fully successful.

Session Fee: Sessions are purchased in blocks of 8 ($560), paid in advance, plus a one-time $50 registration fee.*

Reduced fees are available for all SMU faculty and staff members.

Registration Fee:  A one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $50 must be paid before the child's first tutoring session.

Cancellation Policy:   Refunds are not available. Parents are required to give 24-hour advance notice in order to reschedule a session. No more than 2 sessions per child can be rescheduled without 24-hour advance notice. Time slots for rescheduled sessions depend upon schedule availability at that time.
