ATTENTION STUDENTS:
The State of Texas has revised the Bacterial Meningitis
Immunization Law (SB 1107) for new students. For detailed information about SB

The revised immunization law may apply to you
IF:
-
You are under the age of 30;
AND
-
You have not been vaccinated against Bacterial Meningitis within the past 5
years; AND
-
You are a new student beginning after January 1, 2012; OR
-
You are a continuing student that sat out the term prior to January 1, 2012
What you need to do:

Provide the SMU Health Center with proof of immunization against
bacterial meningitis within the past 5 years and at least 10 days prior to the
registration for each term.

submit your form to the Dispute Resolution program administrative office to be forwarded
to the Health Center, but allow a minimum of two or three extra days if you do
this.)

Failure to provide proof of immunization (Validated Health
Certificate) will result in a “hold” being placed on your record blocking
enrollment of classes.
