An Evening of Poetry and Music
Southern Methodist University’s Master of Liberal Studies Program is pleased to invite you to an evening of poetry and music by poet, Dr. Gary Swaim, and guitarist, Eddie Healy. Dr. Swaim, the 2011 Texas Senior Poet Laureate and Minnie Stevens Piper Professor of Excellence will present poetry from his latest publication, 8 VOICES, CONTEMPORARY POETRY FROM THE AMERICAN SOUTHWEST along with poems from his other books of poetry. Eddie Healy will accompany the readings with music ranging from ragtime to blues, bossa nova, and classical. A reception and book signing will follow the event.
