Alexa Taylor serves as the head of Disability Accommodations & Success
Strategies at Southern Methodist University and has been at the
University since 2001. This office serves all SMU students with
disability needs. She also instructs a reading and study skills course
for students with LD/ADHD, advises a support group for this population,
and serves on SMU's President's Advisory Committee on the Needs of
Persons with Disabilities. Ms. Taylor holds a Master's in Counseling
Psychology from the University of North Texas and maintains a
professional counseling license (LPC). She serves the community through
her position as Secretary of the Dallas Branch of the International
Dyslexia Association and is a member of AHEAD and ADDA. |
