Adriana Gomez is a member of the Clinical Faculty at SMU in the
Department of Leadership and Education Policy supervising students
enrolled in the Accelerated School Leadership Program. She retired from
public education in 2009 after 34 years of service. She was the founding
principal of the Early College High School with Carrollton-Farmers
Branch ISD in partnership with Brookhaven College from 2006-2009.
She has been the director of the Texas Prefreshman Engineering Program (TexPREP)
at Brookhaven College for 3 years. TexPREP is available to students in
Dallas ISD and surrounding schools. It is an academically intense
mathematics-based, summer enrichment program scheduled for 7 weeks in
June and July. The emphasis of TexPREP is to increase the number of
women and underrepresented minorities in the science, technology,
engineering and math fields.
She graduated from Texas A &I University in Kingsville, Texas with a
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She also received her
Master's degree in Educational Administration from Texas A & I
University and administrative certification from the University of North
Texas, Denton, Texas. |
