Resource Center, in partnership with the Center for Family Counseling at SMU, offers affordable, sliding scale, behavioral health counseling services for the GLBT Community. Counseling is available for adult and teen individuals, couples, families and/or in support groups. GLBT affirmative counseling is offered allowing clients to explore issues of concern without fear of not being understood or encountering prejudice or heterosexism in a counseling relationship. The SMU Center for Family Counseling at Frisco ISD program, located in the Student Opportunity Center, is an outreach of SMU Plano's Center for Family Counseling. The goal of the program is to deliver developmentally appropriate and culturally sensitive counseling services to students and families in the Frisco ISD. Services include individual, family, and adolescent counseling, as well as play therapy for children. All services are offered at low-to-no cost to the Frisco community. Students enrolled in the Frisco ISD Student Opportunity Center receive services at no cost.
