Counselors
Individual and group counseling services are provided by graduate counseling
students in SMU’s Master of Science in Counseling Program, which prepares
individuals for professional practice as counselors. Experienced doctoral
and master's-level
licensed faculty and staff members direct the Center and supervise the graduate
counseling students.
Fees
The Center provides low- to no-cost counseling services. A sliding-fee
scale (with a maximum of $45 session) ensures that services are affordable to
all, regardless of circumstances. There is no charge for the intake
session. Currently, the Center takes payment in the
form of cash or check. The Center does not bill insurance, Medicaid, or
Medicare.
