MSSM Application Deadlines:

Applications are processed on a continuous basis beginning in early November. It is in your best interest to submit your application as early as possible to be eligible for scholarship consideration.

Deadline 1: November 15, 2017

Deadline 2: February 15, 2018

Deadline 3: April 30, 2018

 

Am I required to have a laptop?

Laptops are required.  Either PC or Mac.

When will we register for classes?

Students will receive their enrollment information at orientation.

Is the GMAT/GRE required?

The GMAT or GRE must be submitted by all applicants without exception.

Can I send my unofficial GMAT or GRE score?

Because there is a delay between your test date and the time we would receive your official score, you can send us a copy of your unofficial score report which you receive the day you take the test. It can be scanned and emailed to the MS - Sport Management Admissions office at: ibriscoe@smu.edu, or mailed to us. However, you will still need to provide your official GMAT or GRE score before you can complete the admission process. Official GMAT Scores should be electronically submitted to the Cox School of Business M.S. in Management program or the SMU M.S. in Sport Management Program at the time of your GMAT test. The GRE should be submitted electronically to SMU using school code, 6660.

How do I apply to take the GMAT or GRE?

GMAT registration information can be found at: www.mba.com. GRE registration information can be found at: http://www.ets.org/gre/.

How important is my GMAT or GRE score?

While the GMAT or GRE is an important piece of the application and should be taken seriously, it is still only one piece of your overall profile. The Admissions Committee reviews each application in its entirety taking the overall application into consideration.

What if I take the GMAT or GRE more than once?

The Admissions Committee will consider the highest total GMAT or GRE score submitted by an applicant.
