Dr. Keeling received her doctorate in Marriage and
Family Therapy from Texas Tech in 2005. Prior to becoming a therapist, Dr.
Keeling taught for several years in secondary schools and served as a missionary
for 10 years in Indonesia. She has bachelor's degrees in advertising art from
Texas A & M Commerce and in secondary education/journalism from Southwest Texas
State University. Dr. Keeling obtained her master's degree in Social Sciences
from Azusa Pacific University in 1994 while residing overseas. Dr. Keeling is a
licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in Texas and an American
Association for Marriage and Family Therapy Approved Supervisor.
Dr. Keeling's clinical, teaching, and research interests
include innovative treatment in marriage and family therapy, and gender and
culture issues in therapy. She has published in scholarly journals including the
Journal of Marital and Family Therapy, Contemporary Family Therapy, Traumatology,
and the Journal of Feminist Family Therapy. She serves on the editorial boards
of the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy, Family Process, the Journal of
Family Psychotherapy, and the Journal of Systemic Therapies.
