Jeff Fink

Jeff Fink joined SMU as adjunct professor in the fall of 2011 and will be
teaching Sports Law. He completed his Juris Doctor at Washington University
School of Law in 1990 after receiving his B.S. in Business Administration from
Greenville College in Greenville, IL.
Prior to joining SMU, Jeff also served as an adjunct professor at the University
of Dallas where he taught a Sports Law and Entertainment Law course.
In addition to his work as adjunct professor, he is currently employed with
Verizon Wireless as a Senior Manager responsible for nearly 40 of the company's
NFL team and collegiate sponsorships. He oversees the strategy, contract
negotiation as well as activation for those properties which include the New
England Patriots, NY Giants, NY Jets, University of Florida, University of
Nebraska and Louisiana State University, among others. In previous roles with
Verizon and GTE, its predecessor, he managed relationships with NBA, NHL, MLB
and Olympic properties.
Prior to his work with Verizon, Jeff was employed as an agent for NFL Players
with Pro Player Reps based in Dallas. He began his career with ProServ, Inc.
based in Washington, D.C. as the Personal Assistant to the Chairman, Donald
Dell. ProServ was a leading sports marketing agency specializing in player
representation, corporate consulting, event management and television sales and
production.
Jeff resides in Grapevine with his wife Jeanette, daughter Lauren and sons Evan
and Landon.
