The Maguire Center is pleased to host the annual lunch and celebration honoring the service members of our SMU community.

Eventbrite - SMU Veterans Day Celebration

Friday, November 10
12:00 - 1:30 pm
Mack Ballroom, Umphrey Lee Building
3300 Dyer Street | Dallas TX 75205

One of our favorite celebrations on campus is our annual Veterans Day Celebration.  Each year is a little different.  We’ve celebrated “Red, White and Blues,” the anniversary of the USO with swing dancing, and all sort of festive events.  Our celebration this year will be a formal luncheon where we celebrate The Arc of Service.  This tribute is designed to bring together generations of service men and women, and to celebrate the connectedness of those groups within the SMU community.  We invite all SMU faculty, staff and students and our valued community partners.

We hope you'll join us for ...

  • Keynote remarks from Milledge A. "Mitch" Hart, III, SMU Trustee Emeritus

  • Live entertainment from Meadows School of Music students

  • The annual presentation of SMU veteran lapel pins: a symbol of student, faculty and staff veterans's membership in the SMU veterans community

  • Toys for Tots drive - bring a new, unwrapped toy!

  • Slideshow featuring campus veterans photos running before and after formal program

Remarks from university leadership and the SMU Student Veterans organization will recognize the contributions and achievements of our university service members.

Seating is limited and registration is required. Get your tickets today!
