Engaged Learning Week is a three-day event to showcase student scholarship and achievement. It includes the Engaged Learning Spring Symposium, the venue for Engaged Learning Fellows to present their findings to the campus community.

Join us on Friday, Feb 10 at 10 am in the Hughes-Trigg Student Center’s Forum for a special presentation by Dr. Gayle Slaughter, Ph.D., Senior Associate Dean for Graduate Education and Diversity, Baylor College of Medicine, Baylor University. In her talk “From Dirt Roads to the Oval Office” she will speak about:
1. Success is not determined by where you begin in life.
2. You can use what you learned before you are 20 to solve problems decades later
3. Focusing on meeting needs can lead you to careers you cannot imagine now
