Clinton Global Initiative at SMU

The CGI University Network (CGI U) is a consortium of colleges and universities that support, mentor and provide seed funding to leading undergraduate & graduate student innovators and entrepreneurs. SMU is a member of the CGI University Network and provides funding to SMU student commitment-makers who commit to take action in the the areas of education, environment and climate change, peace and human rights, poverty alleviation and public health.

Annual CGI U Meeting 

Students and university representatives come together at the CGI U meeting to hear from experts in various fields, brainstorm ideas, share best practices and form effective partnerships.

Eight SMU students networked with global thought leaders at the 2016 annual meeting hosted by UC, Berkeley. They were joined by 1200 students from 75 countries, all of whom were committed to make a change in the world.
