The Teaching Institute for Graduate Students

We invite you to join us for the inaugural SMU Teaching Institute for Graduate Students. The Teaching Institute is focused on providing advice and guidance for graduate students that are currently teaching or interested in college teaching in the future. 

Designed by the Center for Teaching Excellence and the Altshuler outstanding teaching award winners, the Teaching Institute's topics include:

  • Evidence-based teaching and learning practices
  • Effectively teaching with technology
  • Methods and strategies for engaging students

In addition, the Teaching Institute provides an opportunity to engage with award winning faculty from across campus.
