The Rev. Dr. Hector E. Lopez Scholarship

Eligibility

The Rev. Dr. Hector E. Lopez scholarship for Latina and Latino UCC Seminarians prepares Latinas and Latinos future ministers, educated in the socially and theologically progressive seminaries of the UCC, who will return to lead vital congregations, minister to Latino constituencies, multicultural communities and the whole church.

The following eligibility criteria apply:  Enrolled in one of the seven UCC Seminaries toward a Master of Divinity degree, holds church membership in a United Church of Christ congregation, is a “member in discernment” of a conference or association Committee on Ministry and seeks authorized ministry in a United Church of Christ setting, maintains a “B” or better GPA
