January 18, 2012 The role of the Director of Youth and Young Adult Ministries is to oversee and give direction to programs in the church for youth (grades 6-12) and young adults (post-high school through age 30), with primary emphasis on youth programs.
We are not wanting to limit the search for the best person so we are open to both part-time and full-time applicants.
Specific responsibilities include: Volunteer development within the Youth and Young Adult programs; Implementation of the Youth and Young Adults programs; Lay Pastoral Ministry for Youth and Young Adults; Communication related to the Youth and Young Adult programs; Administrative Duties related to the Youth and Young Adult programs; Working with other staff members – MUST be a TEAM player; and Other responsibilities necessary for the effective ministry of the church as specified by the Senior Pastor.
The person serving in this position must be one who sees his or her role and duties primarily as a ministry to the congregation and to all who attend here, in the name of Jesus Christ. The role of the Director of Adult and Youth Praise Teams is to oversee and give direction to the music ministry of the church as it is carried out in the Celebration Service (Contemporary Praise Service) and in Youth worship on Sunday nights. Specific responsibilities include:
- Volunteer development within the Music Ministries program
- Implementation of the music program for Celebration Services
- Supervision of supplemental musicians for the Celebration Service
- Direction of the Youth Praise Band
- Communication related to the Celebration Service and Youth Praise Band
- Administrative Duties related to the Celebration Service and Youth Praise Band
