Part-Time Worship Leader

May 22, 2012

We are a young, yet vibrant church in Flower Mound in the process of revitalizing our ministry efforts. We are committed to "fulfilling the great commission in the spirit of the great commandment," and, inspired by the "No Perfect People Allowed" (John Burke) approach to ministry. We see opportunities to minister to others through our regular rhythms of life. Currently, we are seeking someone musically accomplished, called to 'lead' and usher others during a time of worship; team player; communicates well via web sources; works well with others (musicians, tech, recruits, lead pastor). This would be a stipend paid position with obligations to set-up rehearsals and lead Sunday Mornings. We are casual and contemporary. We have no looming battles with worship changes or transitions…we are where we need to be, but praying for the right leader, who has a conviction and calling to lead others into a time of worship when gathered together. If this sounds like you, I'd love to hear from you!

Director of Children and Youth Ministry-FPC in Springfield PA

April 30, 2012

We are a vibrant, welcoming, and down-to-earth congregation in the Philadelphia suburbs, excited about the future of our church’s ministry.  To quote our Core Values for children’s ministry, we want our young people to “learn the faith, be faithful Christians, have fun, and encounter an environment of grace where they can be themselves.”  The Director of Children and Youth Ministry (DCYM) will oversee the children and youth ministry, with an emphasis in relationship building.  He or she will also oversee volunteer recruitment and programming.  We believe in building a sustainable youth ministry, so the DCYM has lots of help, working in conjunction with our Renovation Team, Christian Education Committee, and six volunteer leaders.  A degree in Christian Education with certification in the PC(USA) is preferred, along with membership in the PC(USA); however, equivalent training or experience will be considered.

House Chaplain for Project Transformation

April 12, 2012

Project Transformation is a summer literacy program that is offered in five cities across Oklahoma. Our sites are located in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Bartlesville, Muskogee, and Mangum. Our program utilizes college students to serve as interns to help facilitate the educational, social, and emotional growth of at-risk elementary aged children. We run Monday-Thursday through the months of June and July.

House Chaplains are required to attend the sites in their city (two in Tulsa and OKC) once a week to help with activities as needed, hold weekly meetings with all interns in their city, and make sure the required meals are attended (Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings). The rest of their time is free for them to complete school assignments (if applicable), work on projects, or any other personal activities they may have.

Room and board are provided, most meals, and a $3,000 stipend that is divided into 5 paychecks throughout the summer. Training takes place in Tulsa at Camp Loughridge May 21st-25th and then on-site (in the city they are placed) May 29th-June 1st. Camp begins June 4th and ends July 26th.
