Mission Milby CDC is seeking an energetic, self-motivated, and creative individual to assist in planning and executing of our program for at-risk youth.  This person would be directly responsible to and under the supervision of the Associate Pastor.

Summer Youth Ministry Intern at FUMC Duncanville

First United Methodist Church Duncanville is looking for a youth ministry intern for the summer.  The position will begin around June 1 and last approximately 10 weeks.  The position will be part time and compensation will be provided.  Duncanville is located south of downtown Dallas, where I-20 and Hwy 67 meet.  The church averages 400 on Sunday mornings, and has about 40 active youth members.  For more information, visit http://www.firstduncanvilleumc.org

The youth ministry intern will be responsible for attending all youth activities, possible college ministries, and office hours to be determined.  He or she will work in tandem with the director of youth and student ministries and report directly to him.  Youth activities are as follows:

  • Sunday School from 9:30-10:30 AM
  • Sunday evening - 6:00-8:00
  • Weekly "sweat and swim" - Tuesday or Thursday
  • Wednesday evening - 6:00-8:00

The youth ministry intern must meet the following expectations:

  • Flexible schedule
