Programs

Open House – An event which invites prospective students, parents and mentors to learn more about the PYST program.

 

Service Projects with Reflection – Service projects where youth combine meaningful service work with theological reflection. 

 

Mentorships – Each student is required to have a mentor who serves as an advocate, guide and theological dialogue partner. Mentors are identified by the student/parents or church leadership.  This person should be someone who is active in a faith community and willing to cultivate a relationship with a youth. 

 

Spring Youth Forum  – A conference for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors to discuss, with Perkins faculty, a topic relating to the church, youth culture and society. 

 

Summer Academy – A three-week residential experience integrating theological study, reflection and practices of faith formation coupled with service work, worship, community-building and leadership development.
