Mentor Relationships

Mentor Relationships

Youth scholars choose mentors from their church congregations or local communities to guide them through the program. Mentors serve as guides and advocates for the youth as they process their experiences in PYST. They assist the youth to incorporate what they have learned for full participation in their churches and communities.

Adults who wish to serve as mentors for a PYST youth should be at least 21 years old and able to commit for 1-2 years. Applications for mentors are accepted year-round. Interested persons may download the application forms and mail them to the program office.
