Lay/Professional Continuing Education Certificates
Perkins School of Theology, through its office of Advanced Ministerial Studies offers a variety of continuing education programs for lay persons and church professionals who are seeking to engage rigorously topics of theology and ministry in order to deepen their discipleship and enhance their vocational effectiveness. Our programs develop the skills and leadership of those who desire to better serve the church in these specialized ministries:
• Children’s Ministry (Summer 2013)
• Christian Education (Summer 2013)
• Church Music (Summer 2013)
• Ministry with Older Adults (Summer 2013)
• Spiritual Formation
• Youth Ministry
Continuing Education Certificate Program
Open to laity and church professionals from all denominations, the continuing education certificate program does not offer academic credit or denominational certification but does offer those who serve the church an opportunity to grow in competence and creativity and enrich and enhance their ministry. Students are awarded a Continuing Education Certificate for each course completed. The certificate program is not a license nor certification from our organization, but a recognition of your knowledge skills and learning.
