** For persons seeking United Methodist Certification with graduate credit (Professional Track), the UMC General Board of Higher Education and Ministry provides this scholarship for students upon successful completion of the course. Payment is made directly to Perkins. More information is available at www.gbhem.org.

Certification courses are taught at a graduate level and require advanced reading and written assignments as well as final projects for grade(s).

PROFESSIONAL TRACK STUDENTS

If you are registering as a PROFESSIONAL, you are not officially registered until the course request form and payment is completed and received no later than December 1 in the Office of Advanced Ministerial Studies. The form can be mailed, faxed, or emailed to the following:

***Important - UM Professional Track students under the age of 30 - If you are registering as a new or returning UM Professional track student and you are under the age of 30, you cannot be enrolled in a course at SMU until you have provided proof of immunization against bacterial meningitis within the past 5 years. The SMU Health Form can be found by going to SMU Health Form. This form must be received no later than December 1 in the Office of Advanced Ministerial Studies. For more information about this university requirement you may visit the SMU Memorial Health Center webpage.

The Holiday Inn is located just minutes from First United Methodist Church, Richardson. Shuttle buses are provided at the beginning and end of the day.
